This appears to be a PhD student’s research thesis on adolescent patellofemoral pain. I strongly dislike this term in that it is really just a fancy word for anterior knee pain. In order to appropriately treat patellofemoral pain, one must first find the cause of the pain. The treatment of patellar tendonitis is quite different from patellar alta or patellar maltracking. One must first separate these patients by specific diagnoses in order to intervene.
