Orthobiologics – study: Can ACLs heal faster using platelet rich plasma?

Orthobiologics platelet rich plasma (PRP)

Here’s a relatively small study that suggests that we may be able to get ACLs to heal faster by using platelet rich plasma (PRP).

While we commonly use PRP in the clinic, insurance has yet to pay for it, so that it remains an out of pocket expense for patients. I’m interested to see how we can improve healing with orthobiologics such as PRP and bone marrow aspirate.
