MPFL Reconstruction & Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy

MPFL Reconstruction & Tibial tubercle Osteotomy

Today I’m sharing a story about Joe’s first skiing experience. He had a somewhat unusual experience — he didn’t tear his ACL skiing, he dislocated his patella. The way Joseph was born, and the way he grew, his patella was high, so he had patella alta, but he was also laterally translated. In this short video I walk through his injury and recovery after an MPFL reconstruction and tibial tubercle osteotomy surgery. Best of all, you get to hear from Joe, who is funny and brings his own little twist to the tale.
